All over the world there are worshipers who understand that worship is more than songs and cd‘s. Hearts encountered by God‘s holiness and mercy have been drawn into an intimate relationship with
him. Out of this relationship we try to express worship from our heart so that our words and actions have integrity. Then our entire lives become an offering whether we sing, dance, paint, heal
the sick, feed the hungry, befriend the marginalized or take out the trash. It‘s how we show that we love him. From the inside out.
This is the essence of what we're exploring as a global community of like-hearted, like-minded worshipers. We're not as concerned with how our worship looks or what it sounds like, what
denomination or ministry we belong to, or which country we live in or language we speak. We're far more concerned with worship that is real, honest and pleasing to God.
Our real name is Inside Out Network. We're a non-profit organization which means the money we make has to go back into the purposes of the organization which for us means building and encouraging
community amongst like-hearted, like-minded worshipers around the world. We chose our name to reflect 3 aspects:
COMMUNITY
The idea for ION came about in dialog with a group of friends. Rather than keeping things to ourselves, we wanted to invite as many as possible to join us on our journey. Some will record
projects with us, some will develop worship resources with us, some will join us for events, and some will simply be part of an online community. No matter where people fit in, it was important
to us that we would reach out from within this circle of friends.
TRANSFORMATION
Real change happens from the inside out. Our words and deeds express our heart. A transformed heart then should result in transformed words and deeds. Hearts open to and transformed by God will
produce acts of authentic worship like we described above. And because we’re all different, our worship will look and sound different.
FAITHFULNESS
Worship (as in the songs we sing at church) has been given great exposure over the last 20 years and we're grateful for it. At the same time, worship has also become an industry and we're kind of
done with that and want to turn that idea inside out. It's not meant to be about hit albums and superstars. It's meant to be about servants faithfully serving their local churches and in some
cases serving the broader church.
So there you go, ION in a nutshell. We're not sure how you fit into all of this but thanks for taking the time to visit us and to read this!
